The group continues to chat while waiting for the elevator.
"My aunt told me she was up all night scrying," Abigail says.
"I thought I heard a lot of noise next door," Griff says.
"And I got a visit from the Lord of Nightmares," Abigail adds.
"Sounds scary," Hank says.
Abigail leans down to pet Beowoof with a smile on her face.
"Nah, they're chill," she says, "Whiny, tho".
Abigail and Griff wave goodbye as Abigail leaves.
"Good luck with whatever that is," Hank says.
Abigail replies, "I plan on staying out of it. See you tomorrow!"
The elevator arrives. Hank says to Griff, "We should check on her aunt, Griff. Her son is out of town".
Inside the elevator, Hank presses the floor button.
"Okay, but if I see any old gods, I'm leaving," Griff says.
Hank says, "I ran into some bears in my dreams last night. Maybe they ditched the old nightmare guy".
The doors close with a ding. Abigail walks up the stairs. Behind her, the intercom panel next to Lafcadio's door goes "beeep".
