The Ogre Guide to Transitioning

Transitioning from an ori into an ogre can feel like a big step. After 30 years of being just a little guy, you are choosing to become the biggest guy. Here are some common questions:

What is the square cube law?

The square cube law states that if you scale something by a certain facto, the area increases by the square of that factor while the volume increases by the cube. Because an ogre is 50% taller than an ori, you would think their mass would increase by 3.375. But this isn't the case!

So how much will I weigh?

Because the magic organ accounts for much of your mass, and is less dense than fat, you can't simply multiply your current mass by the 3.375. A good estimate is to subtract 90kg from your current mass (to account for your skeleton and muscles mass), then divide the remainder by 2. Add the remainder back on to the 90kg, and then multiply by 3.375. That is roughly your new mass.

That's still so heavy! How will I move?

The process of becoming an ogre infuses your muscles with magic, making them much stronger. Your muscles will be twice as strong as they would be from scaling up (So 4.5 times stronger)
